If your organization serves children in Las Vegas and/or Southern Nevada, if you are an existing 501(C)(3) non-profit charity, and if you require funding for a program that meets the direct needs of children, then you are eligible to apply for a grant from Speedway Children's Charities.

A committee of board members reviews each application and determines a recommended amount to award. The committee meets to discuss each application and recommended amount and makes adjustments based on the discussions. The recommendations are then taken to the entire board of trustees who votes on the awarded amounts. Every member of the board reserves the right to question, agree or disbute each recommended amount. Once the vote is taken and the awarded amounts are approved, the organization is notified in writing of the decision and if applicable, the amount awarded.

We do not have limits on requested grant amounts. We do caution each applicant that we cannot guarantee full funding of the program requested and that we are limited by the amount we raise each year.

Our application becomes available each year online in the beginning of April and the deadline date is August 1. Organizations are notified of the board of trustees decision in early November with distribution taking place towards the end of November/early December.
